Went to the take out window to get an order and these what I would consider like a pancake puff with just enough jam and powdered sugar were light and airy and a good treat / snack for walking around.

I came on a Thursday for brunch and there was no wait! I had a party of 4 and we were greeted and seated immediately. Waitress were so sweet and attentive. Everything tasted great. Also plenty of parking nearby!

We arrived at 9:45am and there was plenty of seating. However, once 10am hit, there were no more available seats and people were waiting outside. The food is typical diner food with Danish items. Service is friendly and quick-ish. We've only ordered breakfast items and those were satisfying. Coffee refills for the win! We previously tried the aebleskiver but were not impressed. We thought it was undercooked and doughy. Well, we tried again...and requested that it be cooked longer. "Well-done" if you will. Unfortunately, that didn't help either. This will be our last time ordering the aebleskiver. It's not to our taste buds. Please don't let this stop you from ordering. You may think it's the best thing since sliced bread! Try it and then make your own, informed decision. Enjoy!

Ordered Aebleskiver, a popular item here, and Aebleskiver a la mode, the ice cream version of it. It was surprisingly not crowded at all as I initially feared.. but then the place was about to close anyway... and the cashier still managed to be very friendly, and I got my order quite quickly. I generally do not like super sweet desserts, and this is basically just fried dough with powdered sugar and jam, but since I hadn't had anything like this in a very long time, it was quite nice. I did prefer the ice cream over the original version, partly because it was about 90 degrees out. I practically devoured the ice cream!

Temperatures have been soaring into the 90's so my wife and I chose to have breakfast early and explore Solvang in the morning before it got too hot. The day before while walking around Solvang many of the locals recommended the Solvang Restaurant for breakfast. I can't say they were wrong. First of all we were the first customers through the door when they opened at 7 am. We were the only customers for at least 20 minutes. The waitress welcomed us warmly and quickly brought us a cup of coffee. My wife and I split an omelette and hash browns which were huge and delicious. The Aebleskivers took a little longer being the pans hadn't gotten fully heated as early as we arrived. We both felt it was worth the wait. We left stuffed and enjoyed the food and the staff. The restaurant look and feel definitely sticks to the whole Danish vibe that is Solvang. We thought it added to the experience and added character. I would eat here again.

When in Solvang, one must taste danish food. What better place to go than Solvang Restaurant. I'm sure the name itself makes this place very popular for the tourists. While the restaurant seemed really busy that day we went, the wait wasn't too long. Once seated, the menu is big with many options to choose from. But of course you come here for danish food. For me I got the danish dip sandwich which I thought was just okay. Meat was a little dry but the dip was yummy. My wife got the combination plate that had a danish meatball and sausage and she said it was very good. I agreed and she let me take a bite. Son's cheeseburger was delicious, he was happy! And of course we had to try the ableskivers which didn't disappoint at all! Highly recommend it! Overall I would say Solvang Restaurant is worth the visit if you are looking to try danish food, just wouldn't recommend the danish dip sandwich.

A very casual fast service restaurant to try good Danish dishes. Service was with a smile with no time wasted. Photos everywhere as a resource for what to order and enjoy the local flavor the town has to offer. A good experience while in Solvang.
